TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner Yusri Yunus on Thursday said police received the report regarding the alleged bullying and sexual harassment that happened at the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) headquarters in Jakarta.

According to him, the victim is an employee of the KPI identified as MSA that is said to have filed the report against five alleged suspects. This is different from the viral post that suggests there are 7 suspects who are also the commission’s employees.

“Those reported are RM, FP, RE, EO, and CL,” said the Metro Jaya Police spokesperson on September 2.

According to the police, the victim claims he had not created the viral chronology or open letter regarding the sexual harassment and claims had never filed a police report at the Gambir Police sector, as the viral open letter suggests.

The victim had actually filed a police report at the Metro Jaya Police on Wednesday, September 1, accompanied by the KPI Commissioner.

However, Yusri Yunus confirmed that the sexual harassment did in fact happen in 2015 and had taken place at the KPI headquarters in Jakarta, which aligns with the viral message.

“The five people reported to the police entered the workroom of the victim and immediately held him down and inappropriately drew pictures on [the victim’s] private part,” the police said.
