“They are all students and specialists in creating contents of stopping trucks on the highway,” said the Tangerang-Merak Highway Police chief Comr. Wiratno to Tempo on Friday, June 17, 2022.

The viral video displayed three teenagers wearing white jackets with red stripes blocking a container truck on the toll road. As a result, one of them was hit and died.

According to Wiratno, the arrest was carried out after the joint officers of the Highway Police, Mandala Task Force, Astra Toll Road Patrol Police conducted an investigation. “They were detained when they were about to ambush trucks again at KM 67,400 of the Tangerang-Merak toll road at 16:00 local time,” he explained.

Donning the same outfit as those in the viral video, three teenagers were identified as TBM (13), R (15), and S (14) were arrested.

They were also students who recorded a similar video under the bridge of KM 67,400 of the Tangerang-Merak toll road on Monday, June 13. “They suddenly stopped a vehicle moving in lanes 1 and 2, forcing drivers to pull the brake,” he said.
