Steinmeier will visit Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java from Friday morning until noon. After that, he and the entourage will travel to Yogyakarta to visit Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta Palace, and Jogja National Museum.

“Reports say the German President will be at UGM for about 1.5 hours,” said the university spokesperson Satria Ardhi Nugraha on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

At Indonesia’s oldest campus, Steinmeier will join the courtesy meeting with the university academics. “He will also visit the student and lecturer exhibition at the UGM Hall,” he said.
