Here are five recommended destinations for ranch vacations in Jakarta Greater Area or Jabodetabek:
1. Cimory Dairyland
Open since May 2021, Cimory Dairyland offers a farm experience for children. The park has several open cages for animals, such as cows, sheep, horses, rabbits, and even camels. Here, children can feed the animals, ride a horse, or take outbound rides. It also has a fairy-tale area named Magic Village.
The Cimory Dairyland is located in Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The entrance ticket is Rp30,000 on weekdays and Rp40,000 on weekends and holidays per person.
To enter the Magic village, there is an additional fee of Rp20,000 on weekdays and Rp30,000 on weekends and holidays. Visitors can take a combo package for Rp45,000 on weekdays and Rp65,000 on weekends and holidays. The entrance fee to the pet cage or riding a horse is set differently.
2. Kuntum Farmfield
Located on Jalan Raya Tajur, Bogor, Kuntum Farmfield is one of the favorite educational attractions for children as it offers an agro-tourism experience surrounded by magnificent scenery. Children can feed livestock, grows and harvests vegetables, up to ride horses.
Visitors are charged Rp50,000 for a ticket on weekdays and Rp60,000 on holidays. It opens from 08:00 a.m. until 06:00 p.m.
3. D'Kandang Amazing Farm
D'Kandang is an agricultural tourism destination, equipped with outbound facilities for families. In the eight-hectare area, visitors can try feeding animals, milking cows, enjoying fresh yogurt, riding a wagon, taking pictures in interesting spots, and learning to farm.
The farm is located on Jalan Penarikan, Pasir Putih, Sawangan District, Depok City, and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Friday. The entry fee is Rp20,000 on Monday-Thursday and Rp25,000 on Saturday-Sunday per person.
4. The Ranch Puncak
The Ranch Puncak offers more complete experiences than the Ranch in Lembang, Bandung. On the European medieval-themed farm, visitors can ride horses while wearing special costumes like Robin Hood.
It is located on Jalan Raya Puncak, Cisarua, and is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. with an entry ticket price of Rp25,000. For horse riding or other rides, visitors need to buy another ticket for Rp20,000 up to Rp60,000.
5. Cibugary or Cibubur Garden Dairy
Cibubur Garden Dairy is a dude ranch with 1,200 cows. Located in Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung, East Jakarta, the farm is a popular choice of educational tours for school children. However, families can also join this tour with a minimum of 10 visitors.
In this family-friendly tourist destination, visitors can see the process of cow milking and even consume fresh products, such as milk and yogurt. Entrance tickets start from Rp70,000 per person for the premium package and Rp100,000 per person for the exclusive package.
