TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lead singer in the Indonesian group band D’Masiv, Rian Ekky Pradipta who is also known as Rian D’Masiv, on Monday filed a police report against Twitter account @dennysakrie after a sexual harassment accusation was made against him.

“I have filed a police report because I am heartbroken by the news coverage biased against me,” Rian said at the Metro Jaya Police headquarters, South Jakarta, on June 21.

The musician was accompanied by his lawyer in filing the report that was accepted by police under registration number LP/B/3117/VI/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.

The singer said he was completely taken by surprise following the accusations of sexual harassment, especially after the fact that the accusation came from a Twitter account of the late musical observer Denny Sakrie.

The tweet currently has been retweeted over 3,000 times and replied by hundreds of Twitter users. The singer claims the tweet had caused rupture in his personal life.

“I was completely surprised by the tweet from the account of the late Yam. Which was eventually retweeted by many others and covered by news outlets,” said Rian D’Masiv.

The tweet alleges Rian of sexually harassing the daughter of the deceased music industry observer. It alleges the singer of summoning the daughter of the late Denny Sakrie to “accompany” him at a hotel in Bali. It also claims to have summoned the singer to settle the issue and called out Rian for allegedly not being present at the meeting.
