UK and Indonesia Program manager Jane Showel said that the event was initiated two years ago.

"Based on the curiosity why do people in UK are not familiar with Indonesian art shows, we present this event," Showel said on Thursday, August 13, 2015.

Shows to be performed in Glasgow will be different. The event will feature Goenawan Mohamad, former Tempo Magazine editor in chief, who will share about the latest conditions in Indonesia.

Goenawan is scheduled to speak at the event on September 12 and will lead a panel discussion about current life in Indonesia from a cultural perspective.

The event will also feature film screening directed by Vincent Moon and Indonesian traditional food. The price for the ticket to the event is set at 17.95 Poundsterling.

Southbank Center creative producer Rachel Harris said that she was not too ambitious in setting a target of visitor number.

"Since it's the first time, our target is to introdue Indonesian art show. If the number of visitors is significant, then our mission would be accomplished," Rachel said.
