Fire in RSUD Kota Tangerang; All Patients Evacuated

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Medical services in regional hospital RSUD Kota Tangerang since late Monday until today morning remained shut down after the fire hit the hospital’s electricity panel on Monday evening, February 25.
“Until this morning, hospital services are still paralyzed, and patients evacuation remain ongoing,” said Tangerang Police chief Ewo Samono Tuesday, February 26.

Ewo explained that the electrical panel located in the first and fifth floor outside the hospital building was burned on late Monday at around 23:00 local times.
Dozens of fire trucks succeeded to put out the fire at 23:45 local times. “The fire can be extinguished in less than an hour,” he added.
The incident caused panic in the hospital. However, there is no casualty due to the fire. All patients were evacuated to a number of hospitals in the vicinity, namely RS Awal Bross on Jalan MH Thamrin Kebon Nanas, RS Melati, RS dr Sitanala, RSUD Kabupaten Tangerang, RS Mulya, community health center or Puskemas, and RS Sari Asih Karawaci.
