Jokowi Kickstarts Visit to Jambi; Slated to Inspect Markets, Hospital

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi departed for Jambi Province for a working visit on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024. Jokowi will inspect markets and facilities in the regions during this visit.
The President took off from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, using Airplane RJ-85 at approximately 08:30 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
Jokowi departed to Jambi after releasing the humanitarian assistance for Palestine and Sudan at the Air Force base. "The agenda [in Jambi] is the usual regional visit," the President said.
The Presidential Press Bureau said that Jokowi would continue his trip to Merangin Regency upon arrival at around 10:00 a.m. WIB at Muara Bungo Airport. The former Governor of Jakarta will visit the local market and Bulog warehousing complex.
After, Jokowi will continue his trip to Tebo Regency using the Super Puma helicopter of the Indonesian Air Force. In Tebo Regency, Jokowi is scheduled to visit the market and one of the regional hospitals (RSUD) in the regency.
After Tebo Regency, the former Mayor of Solo and his entourage will continue their journey to Bungo Regency by car. The President is scheduled to spend the night in Bungo Regency to continue his working visit the next day.
Accompanying the President on the flight to Jambi were Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Presidential Military Secretary Major General Rudy Saladin, and Presidential Secretariat Commander Major General Achiruddin.
