iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus Launched in Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three latest iPhones from Apple: iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus, is finally released in Indonesia today through its Indonesian distributor Teletama Artha Mandiri (TAM).
Of all three products, Apple’s first premium-tier phone, the iPhone X 256GB is the most expensive one available for Rp20.799 million, followed by its 64GB version available for Rp17.999 million.

The prices for other products, namely iPhone 8 (64GB) and iPhone 8 (256GB) are set at Rp12.599 million and Rp15.399 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 Plus (64GB) is priced at Rp14.499 and the 256GB version is priced at Rp17.199 million.
The listed prices above are significantly higher than the one sold in the US and global market. As a comparison, the iPhone X (256GB) is sold for US$1,149 or Rp15.1 million. Meanwhile, the iPhone 8 (256GB) is priced at US$849 and the iPhone 8 Plus (256GB) is available for US$949.
The iPhone X had just recently complied with the Indonesian Government’s level of domestic components regulation or TKDN regulation.
