Google Maps Offers Info on Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After partnering with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the United States and U.K. for the past three years, now Google Maps is geographically expanding the same partnership. The features that will come with the partnership will help users know a charging station’s charging speed capacity and plug type, including allowing users to set personal preferences.
This feature is already available on Android and iOS apps which also provides information on whether the charging stations are available for free, although this depends on the market, and in some countries will get fewer details on this.
Apart from EV-related updates, Google Maps will offer new filters ahead of the year-end holidays such as live viewability in a number of cities and those that are based on augmented reality or AR.
Wheelchair and stair-free access can also be found with a simple toggle of the Accessibility feature in the Google Maps app settings.
