Light Rain to Fall in Some Indonesian Cities, BMKG Weather Forecast Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) weather forecast announced light rain over a number of Indonesian major cities on Tuesday noon, December 21. 

These regions include Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Jambi, Palangkaraya, Pangkal Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Mataram, Jayapura, Mamuju, Kendari, and Medan, Antaranews reported.

The agency also expects Sulawesi’s Gorontalo, Bandung in West Java, and Manokwari in West Papua to be lightly showered during the day while rainstorms are likely to happen in Bengkulu and East Nusa Tenggara’s Kupang. 

Other cities that will likely see overcast include  Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Tanjung Pinang, Ambon, Ternate, Pekanbaru, Manado, and Palembang. The BMKG weather forecast suggests light shower during the night will happen over Palembang, Makassar, Mamuju, Pekanbaru, Jayapura, Ternate, Bandar Lampung, Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung, and Bengkulu
