Jokowi Welcomes Singapore's Foreign Minister at Jakarta Palace

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Joko Widodo, also known as Jokowi, received a visit from Singapore's Foreign Affairs Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Friday, April 26.
Balakrishnan, dressed in a navy blue suit, arrived at the palace complex at around 9:25 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB). Despite declining to disclose any information about the agenda, he greeted journalists.
About 15 minutes before his arrival, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi's car was already parked in the front yard of the State Palace.
Until now, the Indonesian government has not released any information about Jokowi and Balakrishnan's meeting.
Prior to his meeting with Jokowi, Balakrishnan met with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto in separate meetings a few days ago.
During his meeting with Airlangga, Airlangga and Balakrishnan discussed preparations for the Leaders' Retreat, which is a meeting agenda between President Jokowi and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong which is slated to be held at the Bogor Palace on April 29, 2024.
