Prabowo Subianto Meets NasDem Party Chairman Surya Paloh

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto agreed to work together with Nasdem Party Head Surya Paloh, the President-elect said on Thursday after meeting the party’s elites. 

"Communication has been going on continuously between Mr. Surya Paloh, those he appointed, and us from Gerindra Party (Prabowo’s party)," he said.

Therefore, he said, the intensive communication between all parties has brought them to a meeting today. Prabowo admitted that the meeting was effective and productive.

"So, something happened today that could be described as an effective and productive meeting. We agreed that we will work together for the greatest interests of the Indonesian people," said the Head of the Gerindra Party.

"Our people eagerly await all forces to join hands and work for them, giving them a strong and effective government amidst the global dynamics," he added.

NasDem Party is the second member of the Coalition of Change to meet with Prabowo Subianto after his official appointment as President. Yesterday, Prabowo met with the National Awakening Party or PKB, and was welcomed by party Head Muhaimin Iskandar. Muhaimin Iskandar previously ran in the presidential election as Anies Baswedan’s vice presidential candidate.
