    TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s daily Covid-19 caseload has once again reached a high record since the onset of the pandemic. It logged 38,391 new cases as of July 8. 

    Citing the data from the Covid-19 task force, the capital city of Jakarta is one of the regions contributing to today's record with 12,974 cases. It followed by West Java with 7,772 additional cases.

    The third province is Central Java with 4,232 cases, East Java with 2,551 cases, and followed by Yogyakarta with 1,424 cases. 

    Today caseload adds Indonesia’s total infections to 2,417,788 since the first coronavirus case was announced back on March 2, 2020. The total daily recovery cases amounted to 21,185, with a total recovery of 1,994,573 cases.
