Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 10S at Starting Price of Rp2.799 Million

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chinese technology giant Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10S smartphone to join the Redmi Note 10 lineup that had been released earlier in Indonesia. The so-called ‘Jawaranya AMOLED 64 MP’ adds to the list of mid-range smartphone segments.

Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director Alvin Tse said the Redmi Note 10S is dedicated as an option and complements the Redmi Note 10 series to meet the needs of Xiaomi lovers or Mi Fans. “Especially Gen Z in Indonesia,” said Alvin in a written statement on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

The Redmi Note 10S comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED DotDisplay which is capable of displaying a wider spectrum of colors. It is also equipped with dual speakers and Z-axis linear vibration motor for the feel experience.

The smartphone makes use of the MediaTek Helio G95 processor inside, which is designed to provide the best mobile gaming experience and is supported by LPDDR4X RAM technology and UFS 2.2 storage for faster file reading and opening above average.

“With the Redmi Note 10S, we want the Redmi Note 10 series to further reach Indonesian Mi Fans according to their preferences,” Alvin added.

In terms of cameras, the latest series packs a quad rear camera setup that includes a primary camera of 64 MP, ultra-wide-angle 8MP, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor camera. It also packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

“The Redmi Note 10 will be the right choice for users looking for a value for money product,” Alvin remarked. 

The smartphone runs MIUI 12.5 user experience which promises stability and smoother gesture animation. It is reportedly the first device with this latest version of MIUI.

The Redmi Note 10S is offered in three color options, namely Ocean Blue, Onyx Gray, and Pebble White. It is available for sale starting May 24 at Rp2,799 million (normal price at Rp2,899 million) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and at Rp3,199 million (normal price at Rp3,299 million) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
