TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Travelers who want to do diving in the waters of Jakarta's  Thousand Islands or Kepulauan Seribu must bring along a healthy certificate.

“The divers must obtain a health certificate or at least coronavirus rapid test result,” said the chief of Jabodetabek Diving Tourism Association, Ebram Harimurti, at Ancol, Saturday, June 13.

He explained that the letter is a crucial protocol in the tourism business during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Everyone must be healthy before departing to the islands,” he asserted.

Ebram hopes the management of transportation companies that serve services to the Thousand Islands and Ancol will be able to provide a health-check post for travelers. “We’ve contacted them and we are waiting if they’ll provide the place based on the health protocols.”

Jakarta administration has opened tourist access to Kepulauan Seribu. The transportation management supported the news by implementing strict health protocols.
