TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto said the naming of National Mandate Party (PAN) politician Eggi Sudjana on treason allegations was in compliance with the law.
“Well then, if you violate the law you expect legal consequences. It shouldn’t be that hard to grasp,” said Wiranto at the Vice Presidential Office on Friday.
He asserted that the country was guarded by the law that punished anyone who violated the law regardless of the person’s background.

Earlier reports said the Jakarta Police had named Eggi Sudjana as a suspect for calling for a people power movement in an apparent attempt to overthrow the government.
Eggi Sudjana received a police summons on Monday, May 13, as a suspect. He was reported to the police’s criminal investigation department (Bareskrim) by a volunteer of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin Center (Pro Jomac) on April 29, 2019.
