Prabowo Camp Links Jokowi to US Political Consultant

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN) spokesman Andre Rosiade uncovered his team’s finding that links President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo with United States political consultant Stanley Greenberg.

Andre said that he received information associating the two and asserts that he is not accusing Jokowi of anything.

“We would like to ask Pak Jokowi, we want to clarify whether it’s true,” said Andre to Tempo today.

According to him, the issue on the hiring of foreign consultants interested him after Jokowi mentioned about the ‘Russian propaganda’. Especially his statement was issued following a video of Prabowo Subianto shaking hands with an official from the Russian Embassy for Indonesia prior to Prabowo’s ‘national speech’ back in January 14.

The link between Jokowi and Stanley Greenberg, said Andre, was obtained through www.political-strategist.com where Stanley contributes to.

Stanley Greenberg is known as a political consultant, researcher, and book author with clients ranging from politicians, political parties, corporations, and grass root organizations. Stanley is also the founder and CEO of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research that is believed to be affiliated with the U.S. Democratic Party.

“We do not wish to accuse Pak Jokowi, slander is the last thing we intend to do. We are waiting for clarification. If [Jokowi had a partnership with Stanley] in the past, no need to feel discomfort,” said Andre.
