Prabowo Subianto to Visit Ahmad Dhani in Cipinang Prison

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahmad Dhani's lawyer Ali Lubis said presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto would schedule a visit to his client, who is a member of the latter's campaign team, in Cipinang Prison.
“If [Ahmad Dhani] is still in the prison this week, Pak Prabowo said that he would visit Ahmad Dhani in Cipinang,” said Ali Lubis after visiting his client in Cipinang Prison, Monday, February 4.
He said that Ahmad Dhani had received a call to undergo legal proceedings in East Java on Thursday, February 7. Thus, the legal team of Ahmad Dhani was still waiting for the decision of the Jakarta High Court regarding the imprisonment of the musician-cum-political activist.

“The court’s ruling will be issued tomorrow on Wednesday, whether Ahmad Dhani will continue to be detained or not,” he said.
Ali Lubis mentioned Prabowo Subianto’s running-mate Sandiaga Uno had visited Ahmad Dhani in the detention center. According to him, the National Campaign Agency of Prabowo-Sandiaga would continue to support and defend Ahmad Dhani in facing legal proceedings.
Ahmad Dhani was found guilty of spreading hate speech on social media by the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, January 28. The panel of judges sentenced him to 18 months behind bars.
