TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Six suspects have been arrested for attempting to smuggle 1.3 tons of marijuana on a vehicle from Aceh to Jakarta. They covered the marijuana with sacks containing charcoal.

“At the back of the car there are sacks containing charcoal. So, any officer who checked them would only find charcoal,” said Jakarta Metro Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono in Jakarta on Thursday, January 4.

In addition to marijuana, police also seized 30 charcoal sacks. The suspects created a container made of plate at the back of the driver’s seat. The container was used to store the marijuana.

“Regular people won’t notice it. Because the paint is silver, which is the same color of the with the box of the car,” Argo said.

Police named the six people as suspects in a drug-dealing case.
