TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The traffic department of the National Police will implement a situational contraflow starting today, Wednesday, February 7, 2024. The traffic diversion is intended to anticipate a spike in traffic during the long weekend for Isra Miraj and the Chinese New Year 2024.
"To anticipate the long holiday, the situational contraflow in toll roads will start on Wednesday, February 7," said the head of the National Police Traffic Department Police Chief Commissioner Eddy Djunaidi, citing Antara.
The contraflow will start from KM-47 West Karawang tollgate to KM-87 Subang tollgate. The contraflow will last from 08:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m. local time on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, the reverse contraflow will last from 08:00 a.m. to 00:00 a.m. from KM-87 Subang tollgate to KM-47 West Karawang tollgate on Saturday and Sunday.
The contraflow policy will be implemented situationally during the homecoming flow and reverse homecoming flow throughout the weekend based on police discretion.
