TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deputy of prevention Pahala Nainggolan in an online discussion on Tuesday revealed that members of the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) have logged a lower number of wealth report (LHKPN) compared to Papua Province.
According to Pahala, only 62 percent of Jakarta DPRD members who have declared their LHKPN while Papua had a better rate of 74 percent.
“In theory, the provincial DPRD located in major cities with better human resources and internet connection should not be hindering them from filing their LHKPN,” said Pahala Nainggolan in the discussion about the wealth report on September 7, Antaranews reported.
In total, the KPK deputy of prevention said, there are 6 Regional Legislative Councils with wealth report conformity 75 percent and lower which consists of West Papua (55 percent), Aceh (53 percent), West Kalimantan (58 percent), Central Sulawesi (60 percent), and Papua exactly at the 75 percent level.
Pahala urged political party constituents to push for the DPRD legislators to report their wealth.
