KPK Searches DPR Secretary General's Office

30 April 2024 17:07 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched the House of Representatives (DPR) Secretariat General’s office today, April 30.

“It is true that the search was carried out to collect evidence for a case that the KPK is completing,” KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri said in a written statement on Tuesday.

Ali stopped short of disclosing further information about the case, which resulted in the search of the DPR Secretariat General's office. They also confiscated various pieces of evidence.

As previously reported, the anti-graft body was investigating alleged corruption practices in the DPR's official residence project. At least seven people involved in the case have been barred from traveling abroad, including House Sec-Gen Indra Iskandar and the head of the DPR Office Management Section Hiphi Hidupati.

Ali confirmed that there are more than two suspects in the alleged corruption case related to the procurement of official residences. However, he remained tight-lipped about the names.
