Planetarium Jakarta Offers Free Planetary Observing

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Planetarium Jakarta is offering numerous planetary observation sessions for the public to participate. They offer such programs up to 72 times throughout the year.
Planetarium and Observatorium Jakarta’s head of publication Eko Wahyu Wibowo said that the facility offers free routine nighttime observation sessions on several astronomical objects such as the moon, Saturn, Mars, and Jupiter.
He says that this has been met with enthusiasm by people which is evident by the average attendance each night of 200-300 people.
“We conduct this routinely in a year, up to 72 times to observe the moon, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. There’s also public observing on other astronomical phenomena,” said Eko in Jakarta on Tuesday.
People will be able to observe other several phenomenon that is scheduled to take place in July, such as the three eclipses in 2019; two lunar eclipses and a solar eclipse in December this year.
