TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As a final tribute for victims of the fallen Lion Air flight JT 610, hundreds of victims’ families gathered today for a mass prayer and spread flowers onboard two Indonesian Navy ships; KRI Banda Aceh 593 and KRI Banjarmasin 592, at Tanjung Pakis waters in Karawang, West Java.
The commemoration was initiated by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas). Both ships departed from the military base in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
According to TNI’s data, there were 470 family members of the Lion Air victims that participated in today’s tribute.
