Deputy Governor Says Jakarta Govt Holds Responsibility for Fallen Tree Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - During this rainy season, there has been many cases of vehicles damaged by fallen trees. Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said that the Jakarta Provincial Government will hold responsibility for the victims of those accidents.
According to Riza, victims can report the accidents to the Jakarta Provincial Government. This reports is not limited to fallen tree cases, but also flooding and building fire. "Please report to the provincial government, their public relation or to the mayor's office. We will help to the best of our ability," said Riza Patria at the City Hall on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
Chief of Parks and City Forest Office Suzi Marsitawati also explained that victims of the fallen trees can file for a compensation if their vehicles are damaged by the fallen trees.
The victims are required to attach the accidents' locations, photos, police statement, Citizen IDs and Family Registry Cards, then send the documents to the Jakarta Provincial Forestry Office at K.S. Tubun 1 St. Petamburan, Central Jakarta.
