TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi is scheduled to pay a visit to Karawang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday morning, May 8, to inaugurate ponds and harvest tilapia fish.
He embarked on his journey from the Atang Sendjaja Air Force Base in Bogor Regency at approximately 07:20 a.m. local time, boarding an Air Force Super Puma helicopter.
Upon arrival at the helipad of the Aquaculture Production Business Service Center (BLUPPB) in North Pusakajaya Village, the state head swiftly proceeded to the saline tilapia farming pond area to execute the inauguration ceremony.
He will also lead the first harvest of the fish at the same location. Subsequently, the President and his entourage will advance to the Pasar Baru Traditional Market to scrutinize the stock and prices of various commodities.
Accompanying the President on the flight to Karawang were the President's Military Secretary Major General Rudy Saladin, the President’s Security Detail (Paspampres) Commander Major General Achiruddin, and Acting Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat M. Yusuf Permana.
