TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra Party Chairman Ferry Julianto argues that the disappearance of several names in Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) indictment against graft case defendant Setya Novanto is a fatal mistake.

“The names that disappeared from the indictment is fatal and show inconsistency,” said Ferry on Saturday, December 16. He argues that KPK seem to be performing inconsistently.

Ferry reasons that the names that were mentioned in the charges against e-KTP graft case defendants and former State Officials, Irman and Sugiharto, should have been mentioned in Setya’s indictment.

He further said that the absence of several suspected suspects is peculiar and would cause the public to question the integrity of KPK. Ferry further explained that it is impossible for Setya Novanto to conduct the corruption by himself since the budget allocation at the House of Representatives (DPR) goes through a system and mechanism involving several people.

The names missing from KPK’s indictment against Setya Novanto are individuals strongly considered to be members of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the Democratic Party.
