Satpol PP Deploys Thousands to Secure AAC

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Head of Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) of Jakarta, Kukuh Hadi Santoso, said that the unit will deploy thousands of personnel to help secure the Asian-African Conference (AAC).
"We will not be doing the security details. We will help on small details that the army and police do not do," said Kukuh. "We will enforce order on a roadside, to avoid traffic jam."
He added that Satpol PP will deploy 1,703 personnel during the event. "We will also monitor traffic jam," he said.
Tempo reported that a bunch of these personnel have set guard on Jalan Sudirman and MH Thamrin. Their presence complements the security detaisl provided by the army and police, notably fully armed.
