TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil said only Rp1 billion of the budget to hold the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference (AAC) in Bandung has been disbursed. The figure is equal to just 10 percent of the Rp10-billion total approved by the Finance Ministry.
Ridwan said the budget had only been signed by Finance Minister Bambang Brojonegoro even though the AAC commemoration will be in nine days.
"Hopefully it can be disbursed in full soon," he said yesterday.
The Bandung City Government had proposed a budget of Rp20 billion to spend on the celebratory event. But the government only approved half.
Ridwan said the city administration will apply a reimbursement system to contractors working on Bandung's infrastructure in welcoming the AAC.
A while ago, Vice President Jusuf Kalla promised that the budget will be fully-disbursed this week.
