Jokowi Receives Call from Turkish President

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf "JK" Kalla said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo received a call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, requesting the president to dicuss issues and problems encountered by global Islamic community with members of the organization of Islamic cooperation that will also participates in the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC).
"Last night several heads of states, including Malaysian PM Najib Razak and [Turkish] President Erdogan, had talks with President Jokowi," Kalla said in his office on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. "They requested and agreed to find a good solution and discussing [issues] of the Islamic community, especially [with] the participating countries of the AAC."
According to Kalla, plays an important part in finding a peaceful solution for war-torn Islamic countries such as Yemen, Syria and Iraq because Indonesia is a country with a majority of Muslim.
