TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Densus 88 captured eight men suspected of being linked with terrorism in Dumai, Riau. The authorities suspect that the men were involved in the attack on Riau Police's headquarters on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Sahar Diantono confirmed the report in Police HQ, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 17.
The eight men who were arrested are now being interrogated by the police. Sahar said the police are probing whether they are linked to the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).

During the arrest, the Densus 88 anti-terror squad confiscated pieces of evidence including a rifle, two knives, a set of bow and arrow, as well as books on ISIS and jihad.
On Wednesday morning, May 16, a car crashed into the gate of the Riau Police Headquarters in Pekanbaru. Then, several men came out of the car and attacked the officers on duty using sharp weapons.
Four terrorists and a police officer died during the attack.
