Danarto's Will for President Jokowi

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The death of Danarto had left behind some wills that need to be fulfilled by his next of kin. The statement was conveyed by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, one of Danarto's friends.

According to Seno, Danarto once expressed his hope to visit his mother's grave and how he wanted to be buried in Sragen, his hometown. Seno's recollection of the conversation can finally come true. Last night after an autopsy, Danarto's body was immediately taken to Sragen by his family.

Seno however, said that there is one more Danarto's will that has not been fulfilled, which is delivering a copy of Danarto's theatrical script he had made in Iowa, in 1967. Danarto deliberately set aside a copy of a book entitled 'Bel Geduwel Beh' to be given to President Joko Widodo.

The book was published in 2015. On the first page, Danarto wrote 'For President Joko Widodo' and a signature written on July 10, 2015. Seno did not know the reason why the has not been given to President Joko Widodo. But Seno said that even if Danarto is no more, he still hoped that the book can be received by President Jokowi.

Previously, Danarto had a traffic accident in front of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Ciputat, South Tangerang on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Danarto was later treated at the Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital before he was transferred to the Fatmawati Hospital and passed away at around 8:54 PM April 10, 2018.
