TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airline company Garuda Indonesia recorded the ticket selling at Rp3.7 billion during Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) in Padang, West Sumatra on April 6-8, 2018.
General Manager of Garuda Indonesia Padang chapter, Dudy Iman Setiadi, stated the transaction was beyond his target that was Rp3 million.
“There is a significant increase compared to the previous year at Rp2.9 billion to Rp3.7 billion this year,” Dudy stated on Monday, April 9.

According to him, 25 percent of the increase was from the ticket sale of domestic destination. Both domestic and international ticket sales were reached up to 124 percent from the target.
Dudy explained the first day of the fair recorded Rp703 million transaction for domestic flight tickets and Rp630 million for international flight tickets. On the second day, it was recorded Rp758 million in domestics and Rp630 million for international flight tickets. In the last day, it was booked Rp1,42 billion transaction; Rp749 million for international flight tickets and Rp698 million for domestic flight tickets.
Garuda Indonesia booked Rp3.71 billion during its three-day exhibition of GATF. Dudy mentioned the most sold tickets for domestic destination were to Jakarta, Jogja, Lombok, and Bali. Meanwhile, the favorite international routes were to Amsterdam, London, Melbourne, Perth, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
