TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - This year is considered to be a political year for Indonesia due to the series of regional elections that will be held simultaneously. This moment is believed to have a positive impact on the growth of the national food and beverage industry.
The activities related to the 2018 regional elections (Pilkada) will potentially increase the domestic food and beverage consumption.
“We predict that the performance of the food and beverage industry this year will grow a moderate 8-9 percent,” said Panggah Susanto, the Industry Ministry’s Director General of Agro-Industry today, Jan. 31.
