TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Soekarno Hatta Airport rail project for the Skytrain is expected to be completed by November. Transportation Ministry Budi Karya Sumadi said that the project is now 82 percent complete.
Budi said that the remaining 18 percent of work is quite complicated as dredging work to create elevated rail track must be carried out gradually. “We have a pretty complicated work to elevate the rail track by seven to eight meters maximum by dredging. We are five kilometers short in the completion of the elevated [rail track]. One kilometer is already completed,” Budi said in a written statement received by Tempo today.

Budi said that he is now pushing to complete Soekarno Hatta Airport rail project for the Skytrain before November. “I have asked for a report of the actual time needed to complete the project quicker,” he said.
