TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police has named Firza Husein as a suspect in an alleged pornography case implicating the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that police have one day to question Firza again before issuing an arrest warrant. The suspect will be arrested if investigators secure two strong evidence.
Argo said that Firza is charged under Article 4, paragraph 1 in conjunction with article 29 and or article 6 in conjunction with article 32 and or article 8 in conjunction with article 24 of Law No. 44/2008 on pornography. “It carries a prison term of 5 years,” Argo said.
Police earlier questioned Firza’s friend Fatimah alias Emma. Argo said that Firza had often talked to Emma about a congregation which she has routinely attended and sometimes about Rizieq.
The pornography case implicating Firza and Rizieq comes to public attention when an explicit chat circulated on social media. The chat features images of a naked woman believed to be Firza.
Police have yet to question Rizieq, who have failed to comply with two summonses. Police plan to force Rizieq, who is currently abroad, to attend a police station for questioning.
