TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Cilandak Sector Police chief Comr. Sungkono said on Friday, May 2, 2014 that the police had received a report saying a protest would be staged at Jakarta International School (JIS).
Upon receiving the report, Sungkono said he assigned 20 policemen to guard the school. But Tempo received information, which was dismissed by Sungkono, that the deployment was to secure the police’s crime reconstruction at the school.
JIS has yet to provide any clarification regarding the protest and the police’s reconstruction. Security officers declined to comment on the reports and the e-mail inquiring confirmation regarding the issue has not been replied yet by the school.
