Most of the affected residents are from several villages in Pitumpanua District,” he said in a statement on Monday, May 6.
More than 3,800 housing units were affected by the floods. At least six houses were severely damaged and seven others were slightly damaged.
The disaster also had an impact on public facilities, including 11 places of worship, 15 educational facilities, 5 health facilities, and 13 offices. “In addition, two educational facilities were seriously damaged, while some 5.28 kilometers of access roads were submerged,” Muhari said.
