TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to announce the appointment of Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo as a one of his special staff. Jokowi is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Presidential Palace this afternoon.

"[As a] special staff," Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung said at the President's Office, Tuesday, January 12, confirming that the former acting deputy commissioner of the KPK Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will join the presidential staff.

The press conference was due to take place at 1:30 PM Western Indonesia Time, but as of 2:30 PM, it had not started.

Johan Budi was seen entering the Palace complex at 2:15 PM straight into the President's Office. Budi smiled to the reporters without saying anything.

Five minutes later, Johan went straight to the Presidential Palace. He was walking alongside Presidential Staff Office chief Teten Masduki and communications team member Ari Dwipayana.
