TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - David Moyes, the exiled successor of Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester United, found his consolation as he led his new club Real Sociedad triumphed over Barcelona in San Sebastian earlier today.
Barcelona, playing without Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Dani Alves due to fitness issue, made way for Martin Montoya and Munir El Haddadi as starters. Unfortunately for Blaugrana, home team scored early, two minutes in the first half, with an own goal from defender Jordi Alba.
One goal down, helmsman Luis Enrique sent Messi and Neymar in the second half. However, Barcelona failed to score an equalizer amid booking 68 percent of ball possession. The defeat, however, did not change Barca’s position in the table, sitting at second, one point short of league runner Real Madrid.
