TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Financial Service Authority’s (OJK) consumer service director Sondang Martha Samosir, said that banking product and service offers through telemarketing have been reduced, based on a survey conducted by the OJK.
“There is a significant decline in offer from averagely three calls or text messages per day to one text message in July after the OJK Regulations No. 1/2013 was enforced,” Sondang said on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
Based OJK’s consumer service data from August to September 2014, the banking product offer was conducted by freelance telemarketers of a number of Financial Service Companies using cellphones.
Sondang called on public to report any telemarketing practices conducted by financial service companies to the institution.
“We well check the report and take further actions,” Sondang said.
