TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali provincial government has set a target that in the next three years, the province will use renewable energy to generate electricity.
The target will be achieved with the assistance from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
"All development and construction in Bali must be based on sustainability of energy and the environment," said Bali Governor I Made Mangku Pastika on Sunday (18/10).
Made also said that Bali had the potentials of clean energy such as solar energy, wind and sea wave.
One of the buildings that use the technology is Ngurah Rai international airport, which uses solar energy with the capacity of 4 megawatt. In the near future, the office of Bali provincial government will also use renewable energy.
