TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The social media Twitter will receive a new user interface update. It will start with the desktop version of the application.
"The fresh new user interface in Twitter.com will also be felt in the iOS and Android versions," Twitter administrator wrote as reported by CNN yesterday.
In upgrading the interface, Twitter takes into account the habits of their users. Twitter also made a poll for their opinions. It then did a beta test of the new interface to one percent of total users.
The new interface will be full of new eye catching aesthetics. There will be a 'compose' menu which is a box in the left hand corner of the page. That will replace the old pop-up box.
The new menu is hoped to make users more active in tweeting. A few months ago, about 40 percent of users access the said social media only to see other user’s tweets. "They don’t share a lot about themselves," said Twitter at the time.
Although Twitter has announced this update to the public, they haven’t mentioned the exact time of the update release.
Twitter is one of the most popular social media with active users totaling to 232 million per month. In one day, there are approximately 500 million tweets from users around the world.
