TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Legendary Real Madrid Player, Raul Gonzales, performed a special match at the 35th Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu on Friday August 23. The 36-year-old player played for Madrid at the first half, and played for his current club Al Sadd at the second half.
Ten thousand of spectators along with the players of Real Madrid and Al Sadd applauded the Prince before the match begins, making him to emotionally shed tears. Raul scored Madrid's first goal at the 22nd minute. The game ended 5-0 for Los Blancos.
Raul seemed reluctant to leave Santiago Bernabeu once the match finished. Wearing Madrid's jersey, white scarf, and Al Sadd's pants and socks, he ran back into the stadium. He then sang one of the chants. Before he left, Raul went to the center of the field, kneeled and kissed the grass on the Bernabeu's stadium. The same thing that Michel and Beckham, other icons of Los Blancos, did when they left Real Madrid.
