BMKG Forecasts Chance of Rain in Parts of Greater Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecast a partly cloudy day in Jakarta today, Thursday, August 29, 2024. In Greater Jakarta, only Depok and Bogor have a chance of rainfall.
Referring to the official BMKG weather forecast, Jakarta’s sky will consistently be partly cloudy from early Thursday morning to afternoon. The air temperature in the city will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels from 60 to 90 percent. The wind generally moves from northeast to southeast at 2 to 15 kilometers per hour.
In the evening, BMKG forecast Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands to remain partly cloudy. At the same time, cloudy skies cover South Jakarta, West Jakarta, and East Jakarta.
The weather varies in Greater Jakarta. Depok, for example, will be cloudy from morning to afternoon, interspersed with a brief partly cloudy midday. BMKG detects rainfall with lightning potential in the evening.
Cloudy skies also greet Bogor and Bekasi in the morning. While rainfall is expected for Bogor in the afternoon and evening, BMKG forecasts cloudy weather to remain in Bekasi throughout the day.
