My Son Sanctuary is nestled in a lush valley in the west of Duy Xuyen District, Quang Nam Province. My Son Sanctuary is a stunning complex of red brick temples and towers. This UNESCO-listed archaeological site was the religious and political capital of the ancient Champa Kingdom. A walk through My Son Sanctuary will reveal historical, cultural, architectural, and artistic values that developed over a long period of Vietnamese history.

4. Thang Long Imperial Citadel

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a modern city that stands side by side with spectacular historical sites and buildings. One such historical site is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoang Thanh Thang Long or the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Dating back to the 7th century, the site illustrates the architecture, relics and stories that span 1,300 years of Vietnamese history. 5. Ho Citadel

Ho Citadel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Ho Citadel is known for its well-preserved stone walls and unique architectural layout. Built in the 14th century, it served as the capital of the Dai Viet Kingdom. In addition to its architectural feat, Ho Citadel also stores an abundant of ancient artifacts, such as stone slabs used to build the fortress, cannons and catapults, coin vases from the Tran Dynasty, clay tiles, statues, ancient everyday items, and stone dragon heads.
