Asia's Top 10 Restaurants in 2024

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The highly-anticipated results of the 12th annual Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Awards have been announced. Chef Daniel Calvert's innovative French restaurant, Sezanne, which is situated within Tokyo's Four Seasons Hotel Marunouchi, emerged victorious, claiming the coveted number one position.

The prestigious award ceremony was held on March 26, 2024, at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in South Korea. Chef Calvert expressed his sincere gratitude to his restaurant team for their unwavering support.

“Japan has the highest concentration of the best chefs and restaurants on the planet. For us to be number one in Asia, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our guests and our community like the producers in Japan,” Chef Calvert said as quoted from Channel News Asia.

Sezanne's journey on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list has been remarkable. Previously ranked 17th in 2020, the restaurant climbed to the prestigious second-place position last year before securing the ultimate honor in 2024.

The extended list showcasing the 51st to 100th best restaurants in Asia was unveiled in early March, with Singapore and Tokyo leading the pack with eight establishments each.
