TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Dozens of universities in Indonesia have successfully entered the ranking of the best universities in the world according to the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2024 which was released on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
The 20th edition of the QS rankings features 1,500 institutions in 104 regions and is the only university ranking to emphasize employability and sustainability indicators.
2. Indonesia's New Passport Design to be Introduced on Independence Day
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government will introduce a new passport design with upgraded security features on August 17, 2024, on the nation's 79th Independence Day celebration.
"We are currently finalizing the design and plan to introduce it on August 17 this year," Director General of Immigration Silmy Karim said on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Even though the latest passport design will be introduced on August 17, 2024, the Directorate General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights will only issue an Indonesian passport with the new design and color a year later, to be precise on August 17, 2025, coinciding with the nation's 80th Independence Day celebration.
3. Azerbaijan, Indonesia Agree to Step Up Cooperation on Acceleration of Public Service
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia and Azerbaijan have agreed to take their cooperation in public service acceleration to the next level, State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN RB) Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas announced on Monday, June 1, 2024.
According to a statement received from the PAN RB Minister, the agreement was marked by the signing of the "Action Plan on the Acceleration of Public Services" during a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (VXSIDA).
