Super Air Jet Launches New Bali - Samarinda Route, First Flight Slated April 26

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Super Air Jet airline is launching a new route from Denpasar, Bali to Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This route will make its inaugural flight on the 26th of April.  

"[This route] will be flying four times a week; every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, [and] Sunday," said Super Air Jet President Director Ari Azhari in a written statement quoted by Tempo, Wednesday, April 18, 2024. 

According to Ari, the new Bali - Samarinda route is specifically designed to meet the needs of young people looking for new adventures and unforgettable experiences. 

There are several advantages to the Bali - Samarinda route, Ari explained, including connecting two popular destinations and providing opportunities to experience different experiences in one trip. 

This route also facilitates access to East Kalimantan, a province rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, supporting further exploration of the regions, tailoring the choice of activities to the tastes and desires of each traveler, opening more local tourism opportunities, and boosting economic growth at the national and regional scale.

"The launch of [Bali - Samarinda] flight route has significant potential in supporting the development of the new Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan. This initiative contributes to various key aspects of the IKN development process," Ari said. 

Ari also added that BookCabin, a flight ticket and accommodation booking application offers a promotional program from February 1 to July 31 to enliven this year’s holiday season. Travelers could win various gadgets through a lottery program by registering for the app and purchasing flight tickets. "Every flight ticket transaction with a minimum value of Rp100,000 will get one lucky draw ticket," Ari concluded.
